What a round it was. Track conditions were challenging at best. Days of rain with sun on the morning had left deep grease all over, making finding grip a tricky task.
Practice opened with racers battling to find a run-in to the main drop that didn’t involve getting sideways in the slop; some opted for safety, choosing to go for the B-line around the whole affair.
The racing was tight with the top three separated by just 3 seconds, all having a crash. Hero of the hour was Alisdair Swindells who decided to hit the shady mid run double for the first time in his race run. Other drama included touching the “Finish Tree”, which saw racers crashing or losing control of their bike in an attempt to stop timers before they had come to a stop.
The top spot went to David Nobles who bust a gut to get down in the lead. Jonno Wood came in second after a lacklustre performance and James Bradshaw came in a startling 3rd despite a heavy mid-run crash that saw him break a toe.
Props to all those that came. Round 3 coming 1st Novemeber. See you there.
