Wednesday's ride was typical of end of season blues. Motivation was at an all time low especially from the ride leaders and the distracted atmosphere of going slow led to some far from ideal navigating by myself on a far from ideal route given the wet and muddy road conditions. I'm sure I'm not the only one whose bike was making some rather disturbing gritty noises for the second half of the ride... Never the less we all made it back from what was the last official ride of the season. We will start afresh on Wednesday 5th November with training for next season!!!
On Saturday we competed at BUCS hill climb. Everyone racing put in a great effort on what was a tough and tactical climb. The best performance of the day went to Will Adams with a time of 5mins 52s, putting him in 14th place out of a large field of 239 competitors. In the girls race Grace harnessed her wild mountain biker instincts to put in a great time of 9mins 3s coming 39th. In the team classification the men's A team of Will, Jack and Tarn came in 12th out of 63 teams. Well done to everyone on a promising start to the year. Roll on next year we are going to smash it!!!
